The official certifications of the Italian language are the CELI, CILS, PLIDA diplomas and the State Certificate of Linguistics. These certificates are recognized both in Italy and internationally and correspond to the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

• CELI (Certificato di Conoscenza della Lingua Italiana): a certification provided by the University of Perugia covering levels A1 to C2.
